Welcome to "Scientific English 2" 

This course is designed for students specialized in mathematics, to improve their scientific English skills in reading, writing, and communication. As the field of mathematics becomes more international, it is increasingly important to have a solid command of English in order to read, write, and communicate with other researchers and professionals in the field.

Course Content

Throughout this course, you will focus on developing the English language skills through a range of activities and exercises. We will cover technical vocabulary specific to the field of mathematics, including mathematical symbols and notation. Learn to read and understand scientific articles and papers related to mathematics and its applications written in English, and produce mathematical abstracts, papers, and reports in English. We will also work on improving the oral presentation skills for mathematicalpresentation.

Course Goals

By the end of this course, the student will be able to read and understand scientific articles and papers related to mathematics written in English, and to produce clear and effective scientific writing and presentations in English. Also have improving technical vocabulary specific to the field of mathematics, and have a better understanding of the conventions and norms of mathematical communication in English.
